Up Coming Ride For The Rescue - Trail Ride-A-Thon
The NEXT Ride-A-Thon will be...
Hercules Glade Trail at Mark Twain National Forest Don't forget September 17th is the 4th Ride for the Rescue Ride-A-Thon!!!!! You can ride your own horse (current Coggins is required) or "Rent a Rescue" for a $25 donation!!!! You will need to bring your own gear or make arrangements on a first-come first-served basis!!! Sept. 10th is the deadline for donations to "reserve" a rental horse!!! Email info@alderhillfarm.com for more info!!!! Ride-A-Thons are fundraisers where we ask riders to collect pledges and/or donations either per ride or per mile from friends and family!! All funds will go directly to care for the horses in our care at the Rescue!! We are asking each rider to please bring in a minmum of $25 in pledges with all funds going directly to care for the horses at Alder Hill Farm!!! We will have drawings for door prizes and a special prize for the rider with the most donations/pledges at each ride!!! It is going to be a great chance to meet the AHF crew, horses and just enjoy a good trail ride with people that care about horses as much as you do!!!!!! There will also be a REALLY big surprise prize for the donor with the largest amount of donations at the end of the year at the December ride and the rider that attends the most rides throughout the year!!!!! The Ride-A-Thon will be a monthly event at different local trail heads and we would love to see familar faces at each and every ride!!!!!! Some rides will be 2-day rides, but the majority will be day rides and perfectly acceptable for all level of riders, so come on out, enjoy a good ride and great company and pick Scott's brain with any trail issues your horse has on the ride!!!!! There are 42 miles of trails on 3 trails! AHF will be riding from 10am until 5pm; however, ride participants are welcome to ride all or part of the trails with us!!! Don’t forget to pack trail snacks and a lunch if you are planning on riding the entire time!!!! We will be taking short breaks and a longer lunch break on the trail!!! Please note there isn’t any drinking water available so don’t forget to pack a few bottles!!! We will be meeting at the Fire Tower Trailhead at 10am: Directions From Springfield, take Hwy 65 S to MO-F exit toward US 65 Business/Sparta/South St, Turn Left onto W South St/US 65 BR E/MO F E until it become MO 14, slight right onto MO 125 south to the town of Bradleyville and go 8.8 miles more to the fire tower road. Turn right and follow to the trailhead/campground.!!!!
